Alissia Melka-Teichroew creates the flat jewelry from laser-cut acrylic, silver and gold. The simple but ultra-sleek diamond ring designs come to life with the boldly painted hands modeling them.
I particularly love the silver version of the diamond rings available in varying thicknesses, each size representing a different social meaning. AMT says, "The thinnest rings hint at the fragility of marriage and commitment. The largest is a sly commentary on our culture’s competitive nature when it comes to conspicuous consumption: ‘My diamond is bigger than yours.’"
