Bocci Presents the 28 Collection at ICFF 2009

Vancouver based design and manufacturing firm Bocci presented the new Bocci 28 collection at the 2009 International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York to high praises. The Bocci 28 collection, designed by Omer Arbel, is a suspended lighting system that is available in a variety of configurations. It features distorted glass orbs, inside which are smaller spherical intrusions that are created using a technique where air is repeatedly blown in and sucked out of a periodically heated and cooled glass matrix. One of the interior shapes holds a low voltage or LED light source. The lighting pendents are available in clear, white and frosted glass and are designed to nestle into a hexagonal shape.
