Old Hollywood Estate Auctions

Bob Hope Memorabilia Sold at Julien's

Although he passed some five years ago, this weekend sees the auction of over several hundred items from Bob Hope's estate.  Coveted items from the star's one hundred year life, most of it spent in vaudeville, on broadway, in film, television and on numerous USO tours, are to be sold on a televised auction at Julien’s in West Hollywood.

Among some of the many items offered for sale are such collectibles as personal letters from Bette Davis and President Ronald Reagan.

Known as a keen golfer, Hope’s numerous items of golf paraphenalia come under the hammer, with a Tiffany sterling silver club received for Hope’s 95th birthday one of the more notable pieces.

Most likely to bring a high price, is the iconic red-and-white headdress worn on the cover of Life in May 1962.

Other items include Hope's well-traveled luggage, engraved watches, Hope for President Pins, eyeglasses and clothing.
