Axel Yberg's Bo Biddley Table is Inspired by the Legendary Blues Guitarist

The Bo Biddley table looks like a complicated piece of furniture inspired by steampunk principles; instead, it is actually inspired by music. Considering the name of the piece, blues aficionados will know that it was inspired by the legendary guitarist.

The Bo Biddley table was conceived after designer Axel Yberg of Akke Functional Art, who brought the Pingtuated Equilibripong Table to the masses, donated the rights to a custom piece of furniture to the highest bidder at a charity auction. When asked to build a coffee table, the Bo Biddley table was born.

The Bo Biddley table uses the tensegrity system, which holds up suspension bridges via guitar strings. These strings are also completely functional, playing three different pitches.
