The BMW M4 GTS Uses Water Injection to Maintain a Cool Combustion Temperature

The BMW M4 GTS is the first production BMW to feature the Bavarian automaker's new water injection technology. The system was first unveiled in the M4 GTS Concept vehicle at Pebble Beach a few months ago, but has now found its way into a production version. BMW will only create 700 units of this new and lightweight car, which is being built to commemorate 30 years since the creation of the original BMW M3.

The water injection system works to cool the combustion temperature, helping improve performance and fuel economy. The vehicle offers 500 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, and will be able to zoom from zero to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. It offers fuel economy specs of 34 miles per gallon.

This technology may well revolutionize BMW offerings of the future, so go get yourself a BMW M4 GTS and become a part of history.
