This may be the most confusing BMW I’ve ever seen (so don’t kill me). The new BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo has the functionality of a 5 series but the luxurious interior of a 7 series. The Gran Turismo is as long as the 7 series, with head room very similar to the X5.
Simply put, the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo is just another well-made BMW (hence all the similarities). The kicker with the Gran Turismo is a nifty little feature about the trunk (photo 2). The trunk is a two-part hatch that opens in (you guessed it) two different ways depending on the size of the object.
The Gran Turismo has reverse assist cameras that work with a park distance control system. This gives a 360 degree view of the car when handling all low speed endeavors. Additional optional equipment includes night vision with pedestrian recognition active cruise control.
Just one more masterpiece (19 in BMW’s portfolio) under the belt of BMW.
