Cruelty-Free Hair Editorials

BLOW Salon Celebrates Ethical Style with a Cruelty-Free Fashion Shoot

The hair fairies at #BLOW Finnieston are at it again and have just dropped a 100% cruelty-free photo shoot. The shoot features some of BLOW's favorite babes and their furry friends, with hair styled by BLOW using cruelty-free Manic Panic colors that are perfect for Spring.

At the core, these photos are showing BLOW's strong feelings towards fashion with a heart. Popular styles may change seasonally, but the demand for ethically produced products is growing in both the fashion and beauty industry. With a host of information and ethical brands like Sara Hill make-up and Manic Panic available, there’s really no excuse for us to ignore that innocent animals are being imprisoned to fulfill fast fashion consumerism.

In the words of Stella McCartney speaking for PETA: "we address…ethical or ecological…questions in every other part of our lives except fashion. Mind-sets are changing, though, which is encouraging." BLOW is showing how high-fashion editorials don't have to comprise their ethical standards nor the quality of the products used.

Featuring Glasgow bloggers and creatives including Forever yours Betty & Honey Pop Kisses. Photography is by Martin Barker and the hair styling by the geniuses at BLOW Finnieston using Manic Panic colours. Makeup is by the Academy of Make-up with team leader Eden McLeod using Sara Hill makeup. The shoot was brought to life by idea genies Betty & Bee and was styled by I’ll Be Your Mirror using vintage pieces from Silk & Favours and The City Retro.

Prepare to be #BLOWn away as we give you a guilty-free shoot, sweet enough to eat.
