The Bloodhound Project's Car Could One Day Hit 1,000 Miles Per Hour

The Bloodhound Project is a UK-based initiative, headed by Richard Noble and Andy Green, that is planning to attempt a new world land speed record with the Bloodhound Supersonic Car. The car will look to attain a speed of 1,000 miles per hour.

That's not set to happen for some time however. The team's first goal is to attempt a 200 miles per hour run in Cornwall in the UK in November. If the test goes to plan, the Bloodhound will be fitted with added airbrakes and winglets for high-speed testing in Hakskeen Pan in South Africa in 2016.

If that test then goes well, the Bloodhound Project will find itself a step closer to that incredible 1,000 miles per hour attempt.
