Bjork Launches Audur Capital

Icelandic singer Björk is noted for her environmentalism, and her latest endeavor is a sustainable investment fund to benefit Iceland. Audur Capital is in charge of the Björk Fund, which, according to their website, is meant to "create value through the uniqueness of Iceland's nature and culture." All companies included in the Björk fund must be environmentally, socially and financially reponsible.

Thus far, there are 100 million Icelandic kronor in the Björk fund (about $826,000). Funding will continue until March of 2009.
