Located in the heart of former West Berlin, Bikini Berlin by SAQ reinvents the site's previous building ensemble known as Bikinihaus. The aged structure was an icon of "optimistic post-war modernism" and has received a much-needed update from designer Frederik Vaes and his SAQ team.
The updated Bikini Berlin complex is made up of the five interconnected buildings that house a high-rise office building, a cinema, a hotel and a parking garage.
The building's north face also features a rooftop terrace that boasts a panoramic view of Berlin's Zoological Garden and Tiergarten park.
In addition to work and residential spaces, the complex also features a concept mall that houses a series of small retail spaces. These spaces are home to local brands and designers rather than larger-scale chain retailers.
