The biggest glacier in Iceland has a very similar look to a very famous ice lair in popular culture. The famous Fortress of Solitude is Superman's home away from home and has made many appearances in various shows, movies and comics. This glacier while beautiful on its own also bears a striking resemblance to Superman's lair.
The glacier in question is called Vatnajökull and it has the distinction of being the biggest glacier in Iceland currently at 8.000 square meters.
The shots of this glacier were taken by Kate Friend and show off the crystalline majesty of the glacier, while also showing off the striking resemblance it has to the "Big Blue Boyscout's" base of operations. Maybe when villains are looking for Superman they'll check Iceland next.
