Scrap Metal Pooch Sculptures

The Nirit Levav Packer Bicycle Chain Dogs are Upcycled and Cute

Israeli artist Nirit Levav Packer works with unused bicycle chains to create her Bicycle Chain Dogs sculpture series.

Named "HOW!WoW!," the collection includes all different types of dogs, including huskies, poodles, cocker spaniels and more, all entirely made out of these chains. The versatile and flexible bike links are soldered together to create the shapes of the giant dogs with all their shaggy fur, and are then painted to emphasize the featured details such as eyes, tongues, noses, and some also have spots. The artist goes to various garages and bike shops to salvage bike chains that would otherwise be discarded to use in her projects.

The Bicycle Chain Dogs sculpture series gives scrap metal a new purpose as artwork.
