Uniqlo's Beauty and the Beast Collection Mimics Belle's Style

Many of the new Beauty and the Beast collections released alongside Disney's live-action movie feature garments that take inspiration from Belle's iconic yellow ballgown, but Uniqlo took an entirely different direction for the creation of its casual fashion collection.

One of the gorgeous new costumes created for the film is a reinterpretation of Belle's blue apron dress with vintage patchwork detailing. Instead of the extravagant ballgown, this simple dress that the lead character wears in the village became the inspiration for Uniqlo's official Disney collection, expressing "Belle's French style."

While rose motifs do make an appearance on garments from the collection, vintage patchwork is featured on most of the shirts, offering women streetwear-friendly interpretations of the live-action film look from Belle.
