Feathery Polar Bear Sculptures

Artist Paola Pivi’s Bear Art Looks Realistic and Playful

Talented artist Paola Pivi creates stunning realistic bear art, including some fuzzy looking polar bear sculptures. Pivi is from Milan, Italy but she currently works in Alaska, which inspired her intriguing bear artworks. Aside from being a sculptor, Pivi is also a photographer and a performer.

Pivi’s impressive polar bear sculptures look very real from a distance. When one gets closer to these artworks it becomes clear that these intimidating and beautiful bears are covered in fluffy white feathers, not fur. One of these polar bear sculptures portrays the bear rubbing its head against the ground playfully, as if trying to scratch an itch. The faces of the polar bears in this exhibit are friendly and cute, like the face of a puppy dog. However in real life, polar bears look a little more scary.

Pivi has done other bear exhibits involving numerous bearskin rugs laid out in interesting ways.
