Shining Sci-Fi Shoots

George Lavantsiotis' Beam Me Up Series has an Electrically Dark Edge

It's hard to read the title of this particular photo series, Beam Me Up, and not automatically think of the name 'Scotty' right after. Of course, as soon as you begin to browse through the shoot itself, you'll realize that the only similarities it has with the Star Trek franchise is its obvious sci-fi element. Aside from that, it's too haute couture and chic to be considered Star Trek material.

Photographed by George Lavantsiotis, the Beam Me Up photo series was shot for Imagine Magazine. Although there is an electric, illuminating vibe throughout this set, there's a contrasting darkness that gives it an overall gritty look.

The Beam Me Up series was modeled by Beate Stivrina with makeup by Maria Piplouka and hair by Yannis Kyriazos.
