Wax-Molded Oil Burners

Aesop Releases the Brass Oil Burner as its Inaugural Design Item

Aesop is a skincare label based in Australia and it recently released the Brass Oil Burner as its first-ever design item. Broadening from just skincare products, its first physical design piece is in the form of a solid brass oil burner to accompany its fourth oil burner blend. The Béatrice oil blend evokes notes of woody and citrusy scents along with its signature Patchouli and Cedar Atlas smells. The brass burner is designed with Studio Henry Wilson, who has been a partner of the skincare label for some time now.

To create the piece, the duo used an old traditional technique that blends together wax molds to cast metal design objects. This unique process was selected in order to give each piece its own sense of individuality through its respective brass patina.
