Hero-Villain Hybrid Art

Artist Pays Homage to The Dark Knight in a Batman Bane Crossover Mask

Etsy user Ministry of Masks pays homage to the most epic conclusion of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy with the Batman Bane crossover mask.

Dubbed the Batbane mask, the facial covering is handcrafted individually with latex and painted over. Produced in only a limited item, the Batman Bane crossover mask balances the perfect amount of superhero and villain. The mask makes it difficult for onlookers not to think of one of the most popular quotes in the trilogy, "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become one."

Though the Dark Knight is truly a hero of Gotham City, sacrificing his life to save those he loves, there's no longer any need to imagine what might have happened to the vigilante had he been jaded by the corruption and never-ending evil.
