In order to bring luxury bathing to the next level, designer Chen An created the Barrier-Free Bathtub. An's tub is designed like a sleek lounge that allows you to relax in your bath. Extendable barriers raise up to surround you in a hot, steamy bath as you lie back and relax. When you're done, the water simply drains away while the barriers sink back into the lounge so that you can get up.
The Barrier-Free Bathtub was created in order to help senior citizens use the bath on their own. The height of the tub was created in order to allow easy access to the seat. Once inside, seniors can raise the walls of the bathtub. As a result, those that are physically impaired no longer have to step over a high wall to enter the tub.
