The 'BAOverse' app has been created by London-based restaurant BAO in collaboration with HATO and its Not in Game platform as a way to help further immerse diners in their experience.

The app incorporates a gamified experience for diners to help merge the offline world with the online one and has users pick a character to explore. Users will earn BAOcoins for doing so, which can be redeemed for a range of items in the restaurant including a free cocktail, skipping the line and more. The launch of the app is being celebrated alongside the Lunar New Year with Lucky Red Envelopes that users can collect to receive one-off prizes.
