Instead of a runway show, Band of Outsiders chose to put on a viewing of their new collection. Behind the mod models was a white background with a drawing of a room on it in black. It looks as though it was doodled down by a bored artist, and is a great backdrop for the collections.
At its heart, the Band of Outsiders Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear collection is very preppy, but it’s the details that give it a surreal and inspired edge. Tee shirts, trousers, collegiate-like writing on the front of garments and lots of creepers make this a very easy to wear collection, but if you look closer you’ll see that not all is like it seems. Many of the details on the clothing a simply drawn on in white, such as buttons, pockets and pant seams.
