Banana Tattoos by Phil Hansen is a Series of Badass Stamped Food

No longer will a banana be used to demonstrate how to put on a condom, as this series of art entitled 'Banana Tattoos' by Phil Hansen pushes the uses of this fruit and shows replicated masterpieces.

Multimedia artist Hansen doesn't just draw on bananas, but instead he strategically uses a method similar to pointillism to create drastic replicas of famous paintings on the bananas' surface. A pin is used to puncture the banana and the images appear as the bananas' natural brown coloration. Michelangelo, Edgar Degas and Vincent Van Gogh are just some of the artists featured on Hansen's work.

In this video, viewers can witness Hansen's banana tattoo process and also a DIY instructional book, Tattoo a Banana, that'll teach interested folks how to make their own. Banana Tattoos by Phil Hansen is a creative approach of making art with food.
