Developed by Sevcan Yardim, a recent graduate from the METU (Middle East Technical University) in Ankara, these new lights incorporate LEDs inside bamboo for a quite startling night-time effect. She developed the concept as a result of her research into parks and gardens, with the intent of developing an efficient, low impact system that integrates well with its surroundings.
"Sevcan notes that bamboo has a very pure, smooth, and flowing form which allowed her to create a modular concept for various lighting configurations," Core77 adds.
