The Adorable Bambi Chair by Takeshi Sawada Begs to be Petted

The Bambi Chair by Takeshi Sawada, a Japanese artist based in New York, is as adorable as the fictional fawn that inspired it. As though made for a child, the animalistic seat is diminutive in size. Nevertheless, considering that the Bambi Chair was created by an artist and not a furniture designer, the size was probably determined to reflect the height of a baby deer.

Conceived and created for kamina&C, the Bambi Chair by Takeshi Sawada is complete with a flecked fur seat, faux-hooves and antler back-rest. It is predominately made out of oak wood.  It was recently displayed at the Tokyo DesignBoom mart held as part of Tokyo Designers Week. Now Sawada needs to create a Thumper and Flower chair.
