The objective of the design was to take away the plastic casing that normally accommodates everyday electronic items. The baked electronic products are an eco-friendly alternative, using bread crust to give an object attitude rather than harmful plastic. Nitsan uses the bread as a covering for timepieces and flashlights, even radios; all of which actually function just like their average brethren.
Be warned though, as these electronics may look scrumptious with a cup a tea and a spoonful of jam, but they are not meant to be eaten. Debbi Nitsan’s baked electronic products are an exploration into the realm of food for design purposes.
