Tiny Truck Drifting

This Chinese Off-Roading Daredevil is Absolutely Badass

This is sure to make your day.  When I think of "off-roading," I picture an all-American boy circling donuts in a giant truck on an open dirt clearing.  The Chinese call this "drifting" or 漂移 (piao yi).  The young Chinese man featured in this video has half the truck, and twice the skills.

The home edited video shows him doing a series of tricks, including sliding into a parallel parking space, and fixing his ride with his pals. The little delivery truck he is using is a notoriously lousy brand called Changan. What he is doing is downright dangerous because of the awful tires and the high center of mass on this model.

Anyone who knows what driving is like in China knows that the only rule is that there are no rules.  I know it’s crazy, but I would actually feel safer if all drivers had this close of a connection to their cars.
