Segway Navimow — an entity recognized as the world's number one brand in wire-free robotic lawn mowers for two consecutive years — has become an official international Platinum Partner of the Bad Homburg Open. The event is a professional WTA grass-court tennis tournament held in Germany from June 20 to June 27, where top players including Iga Swiatek and Venus Williams will compete.
As part of its partnership with the Bad Homburg Open, Navimow is deploying robotic mowers from its X4 series to maintain the tournament's perennial ryegrass courts at a precise height of eight millimetres. The X4 mowers incorporate several proprietary technologies, as well. EdgeSense allows the robot to recognize walls and fences during mapping and mowing, cutting up to approximately five centimetres from edges while automatically adapting to transitions and slight height differences. Xero-Turn features eccentric front-wheel steering and turf-friendly intelligence to enable clean, damage-free maneuvering without tearing the grass, while MowMentum uses a twin-disc cutting deck with 12 blades.
