The company will host a number of tournaments and events on its latest title, 'Axie Infinity: Origins,' with each event rewarding the participants with AXS, the cryptocurrency used in game.

In total, Sky Mavis is paying out 160,000 AXS, which equals roughly to $2.4 million USD. The developer stated that this prize pool will be split amongst different regions, skill levels, and demographics, allowing all fans of the game to have a shot at winning some money, regardless of location or personal skill level.

The events will be separated into Major Tournaments, which pay upwards of $1 million USD, Minor Tournaments, which pay upwards of $200,000 USD, and local tournaments, which pay up to $9,999 USD.
