Elevated Timber Cabins

These Hillside Cabins Provide Individual Lodgings for the Awasi Hotel

'Felipe Assadi Architects' recently designed a series of cozy timber cabins that provide lodging for guests staying at the Awasi Hotel. Many people come to the Patagonia region to get a glimpse of wild creatures interacting in their natural habitat. These compact cabins provide the perfect space to view wild llamas, pumas and rheas from up close.

The Awasi Hotel is located just outside the Torres del Paine National Park in Chile's Patagonia region. The hotel boasts 12 timber cabins, each of which is perched on the edge of a steep hillside. The cabins are designed to blend into the natural landscape and not disrupt the animal's habitat. Despite the simplistic exterior, each cabin is equipped with a bedroom, bathroom, lounge and sitting area. The interior is completely covered in wood, which makes each cabin feel warm and cozy.
