Balmain and Space Runners have partnered to create a futuristic avant-garde footwear collection of the popular Unicorn sneaker model. The sneaker includes NFT collectibles.
Both brands developed several NFT versions of Balmain's signature sneaker, each with a redeemable code for consumers to unlock in order to receive a physical pair. Space Runners' co-founder and CEO Won Soh spoke about the collaboration: "We are thrilled Balmain entrusted us to not only do justice to one of fashion's most identifiable designs, the Unicorn but also take consumers on a journey inspired by the tremendous legacy of Balmain."
The footwear collection consists of five different colors for consumers to choose from. The footwear has a similar appearance to a futuristic space vessel shown in fictional stories. It boasts a bold design where the sole protrudes to the sides with its thick cushioning formation. Additionally, the footwear material combines rubber, neoprene, and smooth leather. Regarding purchasing details, consumers will receive an email link to claim their Unicorn Digital Collectible NFT. This NFT allows exclusive access to Balmain's world and early access to future Balmain releases and other accessories. The Balmain x Space Runners Unicorn collection can be purchased by credit/debit cards or ETH cryptocurrency.
