The ‘Doves’ Editorial Features Angelic Avant-Garde Fash

This avant-garde fashion editorial features bizarre headpieces and eye-grabbing cosmetics. This editorial is entitled ‘Doves’ and can be found in CR Fashion Book. Photographer Maurizio Bavutti uses unusual accessories (among other things) to create a twisted angel theme in this series.

In one of these shots, a model with long blonde hair is seen wearing a metallic silver dress, but pieces of fabric are being held up at her sides, which creates the appearance of wings. Many of these photos incorporate strange clear headpieces, which are often draped over the faces of the models, almost like shields or protective gear. However, in a few shots, these odd accessories sit on top of the models head. This creates the look of a halo.

There’s a darkly beautiful poem printed beside this editorial, which reinforces the fallen angel feel behind the series.
