Fabric-Pooling Pants

These Avant-Garde Pants by Gareth Pugh Put Fashion Before Function

These avant-garde pants by Gareth Pugh are not designed for people on the go. The flared black silk trousers have been dubbed "puddle pants," by Gaby Wilson of MTV Style. She notes, "I think this more accurately captures the essence of these trousers."

The exaggerated bottoms of these pants might seem to make mobility extremely challenging, but the design is not unlike a dress with a long train. The statement-making pants are from Pugh's Spring 2013 collection and are emblematic of his dramatic, dark and avant-garde aesthetic.

Although the gorgeous black Italian silk isn't the ideal material to be dragging on the ground, these luxurious $3,000 pants will only ever grace the most pristine floors anyway.
