This Autonomous Self-Driving Trike Makes Use of an Arduino Processor

There has been a lot of talk about autonomous self-driving cars, but this tricycle aims to identify how the technology can be utilized on a smaller scale. Created by a research team at the University of Washington, the tricycle project was supported by a grant from Amazon's Catalyst program and software company Kerika.

The team of researchers was headed by professor Tyler Folsom and saw the creation of a tricycle that could be prompted to perform an action and respond accordingly. The tricycle was created using an Arduino microprocessor and a bevy of other components that enable it to be connected with via remote control.

The autonomous self-driving tricycle identifies how the technology being put in place in the vehicular transportation sector has strong promise on a smaller scale with small vehicles.
