Carvana is an auto vendor retailer aiming to take the experience of purchasing a new vehicle to the next level will a fully functional car vending machine being developed in Nashville, Tennessee. The space will offer consumers the opportunity to order and pick up cars instantly in a transition similar to putting change into a machine for a chocolate bar.
To overcome the limited repeat interaction at car dealerships, Carvana is putting together a building made of glass with various used cards for sale. The cars are placed on movable platforms that once a consumer requests that specific model, move and lower the vehicle down to the base platform. From there the consumer is ready to take the car for a spin.
The futuristic and surreal delivery of the car adds to the instant gratification of the consumer and the appeal that they are in control of the transaction rather than a salesperson.
