Attached by Chiko Explores the Connection Between Twins

Attached by Chiko, a seasoned knitter based in Toronto, Canada, is a unique pair of dangerous-looking earrings. Although they take on the form of adorable knitted sweaters, what makes them appear so dangerous is that they are meant to be worn by two people at the same time. It is just an accident waiting to happen.

Created for her thesis work titled Entwined, Attached by Chiko explores the closeness between twins, which is especially apparent during childhood. The artist writes, "The little sweater sleeves grow into one another to emphasize this connection, and the piece (which is purely conceptual, rather than functional jewellery) actually physically attaches the wearers." As a twin herself, it is only natural that she would have a deep understanding of such connections.
