Fitness-Focused Social Platforms

Strava's 'Athlete Posts' Will Feature Curated Content

Strava, the popular running app that accumulates over one million athletes every 45 days, is expanding its services beyond pure functionality with the introduction of 'Athlete Posts.' The new social platform will be a space for fitness fanatics to share content with one another and the rest of the network at large, giving those on Strava a trusted source of knowledge (and commiseration) about the field of fitness as a whole.

Though Strava's initial running app offers social features, Athlete Posts hopes to create a more polished platform for information. The posts on the social site cum blog will be curated, with only the most reliable and highest quality stories, photos, questions, tips, recommendations, and more making it onto the site. Posts will come from the likes of marathoner Kelly Roberts, track and field athlete Lauren Fleshman, and triathlete James Lawrence.
