Realistic Artistic Typography

Hand-Crafted Experimental Design Brings Graphics to Life

Austrian artist Marion Luttenberger produced handcrafted artistic typography using a variety of sources. The diverse array of materials include artificial fur, water droplets and food. She took pictures of her projects, heightening the artistic element of these pieces. The artist described her typefaces as being conceptual, experimental and hands-on. What is particularly striking about this work is how literal it is. One can see this in her use of olives, bacon and water.

In addition to her artistic typography, the artist also conceived a fascinating photography project where her subjects introduce her to the next. At the end she brings all the participants together. She performed this experiment twice in the Canadian city of Vancouver, British Columbia.
