Grotesque Skate Deck Designs

Supreme's Artist Series Skate Features Cindy Sherman's Photographs

The latest iteration of Supreme's 'Artist Series Skate' features the work of the esteemed American photographer, Cindy Sherman.

Sherman's works focuses primarily on feminist concepts which de-fetishize and de-sexualize the female body, through depicting the female form in an abstract and at times, grotesque manner. The work consists of conceptual portraits, directed, modelled and styled by the photographer herself. The collaboration with Supreme will print Sherman's iconic imagery onto the underside of its skate decks, allowing boarders to achieve an expressive personal brand.

The images chosen for this collaboration include stills from the artist's 'Grotesque Series,' which boast a bizarre collection of colors and shapes. The artwork on the bottom of the board is completed with a similarly coloured upper deck, which is branded with the Supreme logo.
