Uribe's structures are often 3D recreations of familiar animals, landscapes and even human faces. He begins his artistic process by collecting fragmented shards of different colored pencils. Depending on what animal or landscape Uribe is trying to recreate, he will look for pencils that share similar colors to create a realistic and recognizable structure. Depending on the sizes Uribe needs, he will cut and splice the pencils accordingly. Uribe will begin to stack the pencils together in various forms using zip ties.
