The Artichoke Table Will Give Your Home a Healthy Dose of Color

As I look at the Artichoke Table, I find myself pondering why more furniture isn't inspired by vegetables. I mean, some veggies -- like the artichoke -- are exotically beautiful and can really bring a unique quality to home decor in general.

Created by David Rasmussen Design, the surface of the Artichoke Table was clearly modeled after the cross section of an artichoke while the outer layer looks more like a coconut shell. Considering that the body of the table is made from shop-molded plywood faced with exceptional zebra wood veneer, it is no wonder that that is the case.

The Artichoke Table also features stubby Cocobolo legs. The actual artichoke image was executed with acrylic painting by the extremely talented artist Scott Harris.
