The Runway Collection is Chic and Sophisticated

The Runway collection was recently launched and has fashion illustrators buzzing. Featuring limited-edition collections that effectively combine the worlds of art and fashion, the collection will soon be the leading platform for fashion illustration to exist as a part of the fashion landscape.

The current collection consists of six pieces designed in collaboration with four emerging illustrators worldwide. Each illustration drew inspiration from the looks and designs seen during the Fall 2012 Haute Couture shows in Paris, France.  Each illustrator brought their own technique, interpretation and style, resulting in a combination of illustrations that range from your typical hand-drawn sketch, to an abstract painting, down to the depiction of model Lindsey Wixson rendered in a colorful pop-art format.

The people over at The Runway have focused solely on fashion illustration and intend to continue on their current path of combining the worlds of art and fashion.
