Bomb-Diffusing Robots

'Resquared' Created an Incredibly Precise Army Robot for Delicate Tasks

The 'HDMS 551S1' is an army robot created by 'Resquared' to be sent out on bomb disposal operations. HDMS is an acronym used by the company to describe the bot's function, standing for "Highly Dexterous Manipulation System." The small dual-arm robot has an accuracy that will grant it the ability to be sent into dangerous zones and diffuse bombs and perform other tasks.

As devices built for these tasks are generally limited, the 'HDMS 551S1' has an immensely detailed manipulation system that grants it the ability to perform dexterous tasks and lift greater weight.

Although this army robot requires human input to operate, it has small powerful grippers that can remove caps from pipes, open bags, and perform an array of other incredibly skilled motions. According to Resquared, this army robot "may eventually be used for other missions, such as Combat Engineering and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives (CBRNE) operations" as well.
