7-Eleven is Promoting Pokémon: Detective Pikachu with Experiences

For the release of the first-ever live-action Pokémon adventure, Pokémon Detective Pikachu, 7-Eleven is getting fans excited with a variety of themed products, fun photo filters and interactive AR quests that can be accessed via the 7-Eleven app. In the same way that Pokémon Detective Pikachu appeals to kids, Gen Z and Millennials, the branded products and initiatives offer something for all ages. According to Tarang Sethia, 7‑Eleven VP of digital customer experience, "Millennials, who played the original video game 20 years ago, are parents now and can enjoy the Pokémon phenomenon all over again with their kids."

7-Eleven's in-app Ryme City Neighborhood Watch AR experience includes a weekly Find the Missing Pokémon activity that sets players on a quest to earn free products as they locate Pokémon. Users are also eligible to receive 7Rewards bonus points such as by sharing selfies on social media as part of the promotion.
