New Apple iPod + iTunes Commercial

Gamma

One of the first stories I wrote when I joined Trend Hunter was the huge effect Apple’s Macbook Air commercial had on Yael Naim’s success on the charts. The song shot to the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart out seemingly of nowhere.

So far, Apple has had a golden touch on all artists featured in Apple commercials. With the launch of the new iPod and iTunes colorful commercial, it will be interesting to see if the chart fortunes continue, and if the featured song, "Shut Up and Let Me Go" by The Ting Tings follows suit. Does Apple still have the touch?

The commercial is an explosion of colors (hence the title, Gamma), music, dance and movement, just in time for the summer.
