Survivor-Supporting Apps

HealingSPACE is a Smartphone App For Victims Of Sexual Violence

HealingSPACE, a smartphone app for victims and survivors of sexual violence, was designed by the YWCA Bergen County in order to offer improved support and resources to people who have survived any form of sexual abuse or violence.

This app includes a confidential hotline, an FAQ section as well as a special page where users can add emergency contacts that can be quickly contacted in the event of a personal crisis or an uncomfortable or unsettling situation.

The quick and easy availability of support, information and related services is exceptionally important to victims of sexual violence as it can help them take important steps towards healing and rehabilitation. This is where the healingSPACE app comes in, as it takes advantage of the ubiquitous smartphone platform to reach more victims in order to help empower them to access the resources and help that they need.
