Antony Crossfield Manipulates Images to Blend Bodies

Antony Crossfield's latest body of work is captivatingly raw and emotion-filled. Crossfield uses a method of digital photo image manipulation by overlaying images on top of each other creating a ghost-like fused image. In this series he melds two bodies together in each photograph making them into a mass of body with two heads and 8 limbs.

The artist has admitted that he tries his best to "question and undermine traditional conceptions of corporeality whilst exploring the relationship between the body and identity." Antony Crossfield claims that creating even just one image can take up to several months to complete. This dedication and dark emotion comes through in his work and his fused body portraits provide a unique perspective on photographic art.
