This Anti-Drone Technology Uses Steerable Smart Rounds

Everybody knows by this point that drones are starting to play a central role in the battlefield, but that also means that there need to be high-tech weaponry innovations that can be used in an anti-drone capacity to nullify or destroy enemy drones, whether they are classified as unmanned aerial vehicles or any other kind of variant of drones.

Developed by the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Center at Picatiny Arsenal in New Jersey, the so-called Enhanced Area Protection and Survivability or EAPS system is capable of using steerable 50 millimeter smart rounds to take down drones.

This anti-drone technology was originally designed to counter everything from rockets to artillery and mortars, but the system's mission and capability was recently expanded to include drones.

After all, it's one thing to use drones as a means of aggression but winning in the battlefield means also having strong anti-drone solutions.
