Though trained as a painter, Australian artist Anna-Wili Highfield has developed a passion for sculpture. Working with paper has taken the artist to a place she never imagined, a place where thinking isn't a necessity. She says, "I work more than I think and that works really well for me."
Having studied at Sydney's National Arts School, Anna-Wili Highfield developed a love for animals and their lack of self-consciousness. Her ideal subject: bats. Click through the gallery to see more of Highfield's beautifully detailed work.
