Slasher-Femme Robot Art

Jordan Wolfson Uses an Animatronic Robot in His Recent Art-Expo

Artist Jordan Wolfson created a animatronic robot for his current exhibition at the David Zwirner Gallery in New York. From behind, an onlooker would see that the robot resembles one of those pretty blonde bots from the Austin Powers films, but from the front, the robot looks like something out of an Alfred Hitchcock horror film.

Exhibition go-ers are in for a scare not only because of her (or its) haggard face, but because this art is eerily realistic thanks to Spectral Motion technologies. The curvaceous woman-like robot dances, talks and using facial recognition technology to follow your gaze around the room.

If art-enthusiasts want to truly go beyond a quiet day perusing at the art gallery, this is the exhibit to go to. The animatronic robot can be encountered on a one-on-one basis in a mirrored room in the gallery.
