Vincent Van Gogh as a man is one of the biggest names in the art world and one of the most recognizable names in the world, so as an animated artist he should fare well. Th film Loving Vincent is a feature length animated biopic about the life of Vincent Van Gogh.
This movie looks to be one-of-a-kind in that it is going to be a feature length film made up completely of original canvas paintings of the animated artist. There will be about 56,000 frames in all and they all will be drawn in the style of the legend himself by a team of 40 artists.
Breakthru films will be handling the production of the film and Doroto Kobiela will be the director. This is as ambitious a project as Hollywood has seen as not only is it a completely painted film but it takes on the legacy of the great one Vincent Van Gogh.
