Contemporary Cartoon-Like Fashion

ANGUS CHIANG's Latest Series is Inspired by 70's Street Culture

ANGUS CHIANG, a contemporary menswear label that's based in Taiwan, released its Spring/Summer 2017 collection.

Filled with vibrant colors, simple statement patterns and exaggerates flares, the apparel has a whimsical look that makes it appear as if it's part of a cartoon world. Some of the patterns are reported to have come from a collaboration with 'Taiwan Beer' -- as the blue and white stripes that decorate its bottles are translated to a selection of the ensembles.

This is also incorporated in the props that ANGUS CHIANG's styles were presented with on the runway -- with one model carrying emptied green glass bottles in a bright yellow tray. Accessories are made to standout as well -- a few examples being enormous synthetic gloves, chef's hats and belts covered with large odd storage compartments.
